Germany & America against China-Pakistan Karachi Stock Exchange Attack

In the United Nations Security Council, America and Germany have come strongly with India and have given a big message to Pakistan and China. China had brought a proposal from Pakistan to issue a statement in the UN Security Council on the Karachi Stock Exchange on Monday. However, the US intervened and did not immediately let the China-sponsored statement pass.

Earlier, the proposal was also stuck due to Germany. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi have blamed India for the attack. America and Germany were trying to make sure that there was no mention against India in the statement.

It is normal in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to issue a statement condemning the terrorist attacks, but since the proposal was presented on behalf of China, the US demanded time to read the entire statement in anticipation of an anti-India conspiracy.

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan held India responsible for the terrorist attack on the Karachi Stock Exchange in Parliament. Imran Khan said that there is no doubt that India is behind this attack.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi had also said that India is not tolerating the peace of Pakistan, so it is conducting such attacks. However, despite all efforts, there was no mention of India in the UNSC statement.

After Pakistan’s allegations, without understanding the motive behind making a statement on the terrorist attack in the United Nations, it could have put India in trouble. To prevent the efforts of the Pakistan-China alliance, the US went ahead and helped India and asked for more time before passing the resolution.

This proposal was brought under the ‘Silent Procedure’ from China. In this, the proposal is considered to be almost close until the objection is received by the member country within the deadline.

Germany first intervened in this matter in the UN Security Council and asked for time till 1 on July 1 to consider the proposal. After this, the US also asked for more time, so the deadline went ahead till 1 pm. According to sources, this delay was opposed by the Chinese UN delegation.

However, the statement only condemned the Karachi Stock Exchange attack and no country was targeted so it was passed in the UN Security Council. Diplomats say that even though the statement has passed, the United States security mirror showing China and Pakistan to the United States is a big sign.
