SPG security was removed in November last year
Explain that this bungalow was allotted to the Gandhi family under SPG protection, but in November last year, the Central Government removed SPG security. After this decision of the Modi government, the Congress called it a conspiracy. SPG security was provided to the Gandhi family after the assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on 21 May 1991.
Gandhi family has got Z + category security
The Modi government has made the security of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi in the Z + category, which is responsible for the Central Reserve Police Force. Earlier, the Modi government had withdrawn the SPG cover of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Now the security of SPG is only with PM Modi.
In February this year, Congress National Secretary-General Priyanka Gandhi was offered Rajya Sabha seat by CM of Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. However, there was no response from Priyanka Gandhi on this. If Priyanka Gandhi was elected a Rajya Sabha member, she could retain the bungalow.
