More than 100 deaths due to lightning in UP-Bihar

As soon as the monsoon arrives in the country, heavy rains have started. Heavy rains along with thunderstorms are occurring in different parts of the country. At the same time, more than a hundred people have died in several parts of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh due to lightning during heavy rains on Thursday.

In Bihar, there was heavy destruction on Thursday due to lightning and thunderstorms. 83 people died in Bihar due to lightning. While many people got scorched.

In 23 districts of Bihar, there has been human damage due to lightning strikes. The highest death occurred in Gopalganj where 13 people died. While 8-8 people were killed in Madhubani and Nabada. 

PM Modi has also expressed his condolences about this incident. PM Modi tweeted that the news of the death of many people was received due to heavy rain and lightning falling, I express my condolences to their families.

Meanwhile, the state government has announced a grant of Rs. 4-4 lakh to the families of all those killed in this natural disaster.

There are 8 districts in Bihar where at least 5 people have died. These districts are Gopalganj, East Champaran, Siwan, Banka, Darbhanga, Bhagalpur, besides Madhubani and Nabada. 

Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi has also expressed his condolences about this incident. He wrote in his tweet that my appeal to Congress workers is to help the families of the victims in every way possible.

Heavy rain alert

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a 72-hour alert for Bihar. The Meteorological Department issued an alert on Thursday for heavy rains in Bihar in the next 72 hours.

In this alert issued by the Meteorological Department, there has been a warning of extremely heavy rain in the entire state. Meanwhile, Monsoon knocked in several states of North India including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu, and Kashmir, due to which the temperature dropped there. Today on Thursday, there was rain along with the storm in some areas of Delhi-NCR.

Many people died in UP also

Not only Bihar but also Uttar Pradesh, at least 24 people have died due to lightning. Apart from 9 people in Deoria in Uttar Pradesh, 6 people have died in Prayagraj, 3 in Ambedkar Nagar, 2 in Barabanki, and 1 each in Kushinagar, Fatehpur, Unnao, and Balrampur.

Nine people, including a seven-year-old girl and a farmer, were killed and nine people burnt in various police station areas of Deoria district on Thursday due to lightning during the rains. Most of it went to work in their fields.

Up to 28 celestial lightning and thunderstorm danger

Most districts of North Bihar are in danger of thunderstorm till 28 June. During this time there will also be heavy rains. A trough line from Bihar to Rajasthan has created a convergence zone in the state. 

This zone is an area where hot and cold winds collide. The lightning strikes when the hot and cold winds blow, which is also known as falling in the local language.

Meteorological Department experts say that mobile should not be used in the open during lightning. In such a situation, do not call from a mobile. Turn off the mobile immediately. 

There is also a possibility of disturbing the set by using the mobile during power disconnection. Apart from this, if electrical conductors stay away from things, it is more right.
